My February 2013 Tornado Tour has begun! The first of 11 shows in 10 days was last night at The Black Sparrow in downtown Lafayette. Thanks to @bernicebobsit for snapping the photo above, @eddyprice for capturing this shot, and everyone who came out to the show! It was nice singing/screaming for you in a space where couples were making out (eww, gross!) just a few hours earlier. Oh, the memories.
I opened the evening with a handful of acoustic songs, followed by 10 or so songs on electric. Jordan Banks and Tory Kirgiss from YEARS backed me on bass and drums. After playing 24 acoustic shows since the beginning of December, it was really nice to change things and get loud. If you like the electric songs, stay tuned! I’ll be tracking some drums in early March and plan on releasing a few full band EPs this year. It’s time to get those songs recorded and make ’em available to you!
My next acoustic show in the Lafayette area will be a free, all-ages show on Saturday, March 2 at 8pm at Star City Coffee & Ale House. That’ll be my last venue show in the area for a while, so I hope you can make it out! Two shows in Indianapolis tonight, Mike ‘N Molly’s in Champaign tomorrow night, and a house show in St. Louis on Sunday night. Here we go!
